What We Need is a Video Game to Allow Humans to Play Corporate Executive – Let Me Explain!

Let’s face it, today we have all types of video games for people to play. The list of titles is absolutely an un-ending, and yet I have not seen a video game which allows an individual to play corporate executive. Indeed, I think this is something that is very much needed. It seems people really don’t understand what it takes to run a company, and because of this they have a misconception of corporate executives. They seem to believe that every corporate executive is greedy and out for their own special interests rather than that of the shareholder or the future of the company.

It is a tremendously difficult balancing act when you are pitted against labor unions, government regulations, consumer demands, public relations, and you must still maintain quarterly profits and shareholder’s equity. It’s not as easy as it looks. It’s completely unfortunate that we trash on these corporate executives and leaders, especially considering that their actions affect our daily lives to such a large degree. Whenever government starts looking bad, the politicians point to the greedy corporate executives.

Almost as if they are trying to deflect the negativity to someone else. They claim that the corporate executives are ruthless, dispassionate, and out to do evil deeds, but this isn’t always so, in fact if you ask who I’d trust in our society, I would trust a corporate executive, their handshake, and their integrity far more than an individual on the street. Seriously, and quite a bit more than any pandering podium pushing politician.

Labor unions always want more, they can never get enough, even if they achieve all their goals in a given negotiation today, they will be back next year with more demands. They have an insatiable appetite, and obvious self interests, as do the consumers who want everything for free, and the government bureaucrats which wish to micromanage everyone else’s business and tax them into oblivion to pay for their ever expanding agencies.

If we had a video game which was realistic that allowed humans to play corporate executives, they just might have a different opinion as they had to walk a mile in the corporate executive’s virtual shoes. Now then, I’m not going to let off the hook every single corporate executive who has ever walked Wall Street, but, it is very obvious to me that they have gotten a bad rap in the media, and it’s time that we do something about it.

The last thing the citizens of this great nation need to do is cut off the capitalist or invisible hand, which is feeding them. Let’s throw the crooks in jail, and stop attacking all corporate execs as evil doers, they aren’t. But I do recall someone stole my bicycle in our neighborhood when I was a kid. Please consider all this.
